Troop 577 was founded in 1974 and has a rich history in developing the young men of our community through practicing each of Scoutings 12 Laws: trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent.

Troop 577, is a Christian Centered Troop, and like our charter organization Venture Christian Church, is seriously committed to making a difference in Santa Clara County.   Scouts often participate in community service related activities such as, but not limited to creek clean ups, volunteering time to restoring homes of the elderly, and the marginalized, trail building and repair for the Mid-Peninsula Region Park Service, and Scouting for Food,  an annual Boy Scouts of America sponsored program to collect food for the hungry.
